It is one of INDUNIV’s Events Platform for Translational Knowledge. Since 2003, INDUNIV Research Consortium has joined the International Federation of Process Analytical Chemistry (IFPAC) to hold the Annual Summer Summit. This yearly event has been a critical component towards developing a strong Process Analytical Technology (PAT) community in Puerto Rico. These efforts have actively contributed in making advanced manufacturing a reality for pharma and biopharma production. The conference definitely adds value towards this progress and expand on these endeavors for increasing the level of knowledge and the science brought in this forum.
This two day conference brings together practitioners from industry, academia and solution providers of technology to present a variety of topics. The program content is developed to reflect on the transformation towards driving the continuous and digital manufacturing future for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries. The main areas of interest addresses flow & continuous operations, data science/integrity, new PAT methods and analytics, implementation of biologics cell therapies, and digitalization / Industry / Pharma 4.0 / Smart Factory together as well as fundamentals in biopharmaceutical and regulatory sciences.
The format of presentations and case studies allow the engaging of the participants in active discussions from the development to the implementation of new trends in advanced manufacturing technologies, process analytics and measurement technology. The summit is the leading local event with the aim of enhancing knowledge, understanding and implementation of advanced manufacturing science components in the PR industry.
The Summit program framework is developed among INDUNIV members with an Advisory Board. The goal is to bring a range of participants to the table creating an invaluable opportunity to discuss the latest challenges, trends and solutions impacting manufacturing and control for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The invited speakers come from academia, industry, regulatory agencies and the technology vendors. In addition, there are table tops from lead exhibitors in these areas and poster sessions of graduate student research in the afternoon breaks and the daily networking event.
